PUSH for Clean Heat

What is PUSH for Clean Heat?

PUSH for Clean Heat is a community-based outreach, and education campaign centered around helping residents and businesses in Erie County reduce greenhouse gas (GHGs) emissions and install energy efficient equipment.

Push for Clean Heat encourages the adoption of home energy efficiency and home improvements measures, heat pump water heaters (“HPWHs”), air-source heat pumps (“ASHP”), and ground-source heat pumps (“GSHP”).

Our Goals

What is Clean Heat ? ▼

·        Clean heat is ONE step on the path towards 100% fossil fuel free home. It is the use of renewable energy and electricity to provide heating to your home

·       Air source heat pumps and ground source heat pumps are the best technology to provide heating without gas, oil or propane.

Energy Efficient
Switching from a fossil fuel based heating system to an efficient electric system is environmentally friendly. Once your heating system no longer uses oil, propane or gas to run, it can be powered by renewable energy installed by you or the utility company.
Heating & Cooling
Most systems also provide cooling in the same system.
Air Quality
Burning gas inside your home contributes to poor indoor air quality. Older natural draft furnaces, boilers and water heater may be adding nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide and particulates into your home’s air.
Reduced Utility Bills
If you currently use propane, oil or electric resistance heat in your home, you could see a reduction in your utility bill.
Financial Incentives
Right now, there are more financial incentives than ever from New York State to help people make the switch.
